What happens to your email address when you leave it at the path.
Short version: very little, and nothing sneaky.

Who we are

This site is run by Wonder Department B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 24408674). We are responsible for the personal data described here.

What we collect

• Your email address, if you choose to leave it.
• The date and time you left it.

That is all. We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or analytics.

Why we collect it

To send you word when the first book is out, and the occasional update about Woofkins & Frumpleton. Nothing else. We only do this because you asked us to (your consent, under article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You can change your mind at any time.

Where it is kept

Your address is stored with Cloudflare, the company that hosts this site. Cloudflare processes it on our behalf under its Data Processing Addendum. Because Cloudflare is a US company, your data may be handled outside the European Union. That addendum includes the safeguards the GDPR requires for this.

We will never sell your address, and we won’t share it with anyone except the services we need to send you email.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe, or until we stop sending updates, whichever comes first. After that we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Every email we send will have an unsubscribe link, or you can simply write to hello@wickeldrift.com.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Children

The books are for children. The mailing list is for their grown-ups. If you are under 16, please ask a parent to sign up instead.

Things your browser keeps to itself

The narrator page counts how often you have asked who the narrator is. That number is stored in your own browser and never sent to us. The narrator would prefer not to know either.
